  • Mesa County is also under Stage 2 Fire Restrictions, effective June 26, 2026.
  • Fire conditions across western Colorado remain extreme. Follow official county, sheriff, emergency management, and West Slope Fire Info updates.
  • Air quality: no new county air-quality alert was verified in the sources checked today, but wildfire smoke can change quickly. Check AirNow and county public health guidance before outdoor plans.

Mesa County

Mesa County is under Stage 2 Fire Restrictions effective June 26, 2026. The Snyder Fire west of Grand Junction remains active, and public fire data on July 4 listed it at about 65% contained. Acreage and incident details can change quickly.
